Here's the story: I have a $1,000 iPhone 8 Plus and can I listen to a soccer game on a Sunday afternoon while I'm cleaning the house? Of course I don't care as long as I have a ridiculously expensive subscription to a whole bunch of NFL games. My ancient FM walkman has finally dried up and as a techno geek I can't listen to a friggin' soccer game through my headphones. Here at Revain, there were several options. (Really, doesn't anyone else know what "radio" is?) It was by far the best (not counting the $100+ Sonys that are still around). It's solidly built and well designed, with simple controls (you'll need to read the manual to get the most out of it). I can say that the reception is good. I live in a nightmarish waiting room on the wrong side of a hill, just a few miles from the city's main antenna farm. The V-112 picks up one signal fairly well even if it has to reject many others. There's a good amount of noise in the background (the only thing that knocked it down to 4 stars), but it's pretty decent for what I need it to be. The radio is USB powered, which is a big plus given its miniature size and weight. The controls can be easily locked so your car keys don't keep changing stations in front of you. It covers both US and Asian AM/FM bands (522-1710 kHz AM, 64-108 MHz FM) and AM 9 and 10 kHz steps (US 10 is the default for simplicity). Please do not tell the seller. but it costs many times its actual value.
