Review on πŸŽ’ Marmot Slate Everyday Travel Bag Backpacks for Casual Daypacks with Enhanced SEO by Daniel Casper

Good build quality in a small 18 liter bag

Firstly, I am always impressed with the quality of Marmot products. They're not outrageously expensive, but they offer great products that compare well with other premium outdoor brands. Marmot's Slate Everyday Travel Bag is another product I'm impressed with, but this time I think the price might be a bit higher than it should be. It looks well made though and the fabrics seem to be of good quality too. The Velcro flap opens to reveal a small, soft-lined, zippered pocket that can hold your phone or glasses. It's not shockproof like some of the pockets on Ogio and Thule cases, but I think the Marmot Slate's theme is simplicity and lightness. The main compartment has a laptop sleeve that looks like it will secure your laptop. Just before this section is another sleeve/pocket for tablets. On the opposite side of the laptop area is an organization area that I find rather flimsy. It has two pen pockets, four card pockets, a long zippered pocket, and a cleverly lined pocket that's so thin and deep I can't reach it with my fingers. At first I thought it was for a phone, but such a slim modern phone doesn't exist. Who knows. The storage space in the main compartment is not very spacious. It's an 18 liter bag which has the same capacity as my Camelbak Cloud Walker 18 Hydropack so it doesn't have a lot of room but enough for chargers, cables, snacks, an umbrella and maybe a foldable jacket. On the outside of the flap there is another zipped pocket where you can put a travel map or something similar. There's also a vertical slot pocket that fits a small sketch pad or bullet journal. There is a water bottle/umbrella pocket on one side of the slate pocket, which can be expanded by opening the button. The shoulder straps are soft and sit well on the shoulders. The chest strap can be adjusted up and down to get the right fit. There is also a handle on the top of the bag. There's no hip belt, but it's not needed for a bag this light (2 pounds). A safety light can be attached to the bottom of the bag. However, I would have liked a built-in whistle in the chest strap buckle. They are on most of my Camelbak, Osprey and TNF bags. I think they are comfortable in urban environments too. The Marmot Slate Everyday Bag is a beautiful and lightweight bag to carry your laptop and small gadgets. wet weather. Organization department aside, I have no problem recommending this bag, especially when you can find it for a little less than the MSRP.
