I tried one in an unopened box and didn't see any improvement in smell within a few weeks. I then added a second one and still the litter smelled no less than usual. When you drop this pill it first lands on the surface of the litter box. But the cat would have buried it and I dug out the box. If it was buried and I couldn't see it, it would end up in the dustpan and I'd have to shake it back in the box without emptying the rest of the dustpan (if you know what I mean) back into the drawer. Crate. In other cases it was buried but it wasn't clear where it was and I had to dig up the whole box to find it. Without a real change in the smell of my box, even with two people, I wouldn't look any further for it. and lie on the bed several times a day.
