I'm very glad I took the risk as it works great. I used it to clone a smaller SSD to a new Samsung 970 PRO 512GB SSD - NVMe PCIe M.2 2280. I plugged it into my new laptop but it didn't recognize it until I went into disk management and didn't format the drive. There are tutorials on YouTube showing how to do this; It was a very simple process. Since I used the case to make it an external clone drive, Samsung Magician didn't recognize it as a Samsung drive. Instead, I downloaded Macrium Reflect Free and cloned it with no problems. After cloning, I noticed that the new Samsung drive shows up as a 128GB drive, which is the same size as the drive I cloned. So I went back to Disk Management and formatted the other 370GB into a separate partition, now I have access to the entire 512GB SSD. I highly recommend this body. There are other options, but they cost $46-$70, and I didn't want to pay that much for something I can only use once. Also beware of cheaper cases that at first glance look like they will work with an NVMe PCIe M.2 2280 SSD. There aren't any, so please read the details. If you have an optional NVMe PCIe M.2 2280 SSD and don't have enough slots in your computer, you can put the SSD in an enclosure and still use it as an external SSD drive.
