The toe of the boots is tilted up, like elf shoes. This caused the seam that attaches the fabric to the hard rubber sole to bulge and dig into the top of my son's foot, even on a larger boot. He is 9 years old and found these to be one of the most uncomfortable boots he has ever worn. My husband and I were very disappointed with how odd these boots looked because the toe was so high. Very disappointing!
