I have RFID detectors at work that have a 6 inch range. With my ID in the deepest card pocket, this wallet reduces it to 1 inch, but the scanner still recognizes my card. Unfortunately, the card slots are susceptible to RFID, when the wallet is open the security liner is only on the outside of the wallet. The wallet must be closed for RFID shielding to protect your cards. When I approach the scanner with my wallet open, my ID card is recognized without any problems.
