This is a good sound machine for at home or on the go. It is compact and doesn't take up much space in your backpack or luggage. It has 6 sounds: rain, fan, waves, heartbeat, white noise and nature. And with each of those sounds, they have 5 additional corresponding sounds, so 30 in total. I was surprised how loud it could be. We put it in my daughter's room and she loves the sound of the ocean. It gets loud, then quiet, then very loud again (like real sea waves) which was very surprising...in a bad way because it was so amazing. So she chose the rain, and luckily the noise level was constant. I found it very easy to navigate with the buttons on the front and an indicator light at the top showing what sound you're using. The only problem is that it only comes with a micro USB cable and no charger. I had to look around the house to find it. You can connect it to your computer if you don't have a spare charging box, but it would be nice if one was included. All in all a pleasant sound machine to soothe you at night and drown out the city noise.
