Good foam and smell

This liquid hand soap has a pleasant smell and foams very well. I usually use a citrus-scented soap in the kitchen to get the stronger smell of onions and garlic off my hands. It works just as well as any other citrus-scented soap. It's gentle, or at least as gentle as others I've tried. Is it more like that? Not that I can say, and as a chef and bottle cleaner in this house, I've used this hand soap more than the rest of the family. We have a large team, and when I tell them to do the dishes for dinner, they go to different restrooms to shorten the wait and don't get in my way at the kitchen sink. So like I said, I used that more than the rest of my brood. Since I spend a lot of time in the kitchen, washing my hands a lot, I honestly don't see any difference between this hand soap and some of the much cheaper ones. Yes, it lathers very well, smells nice and doesn't take long to get that lather. But many others feel the same way. So, is that enough to justify $14 (current list price) for 9.8 ounces? It costs just under $1.50 an ounce and considering what else is out there I have to say no. I like the soap but for the price I'd rather love it so I'll just leave it as a good soap with a big price tag and I guess it all depends on the person's priorities.
