Best purchase I've ever made

I'm a simple woman. I see a lake, I jump into it. Now it can be considered normal except I always wear some kind of pants, usually jeans. Jumping into winter water in jeans is not recommended, but I do it, and passers-by usually tell me how bold it is. But not anymore. I have a fantasy, you know, a prophecy, and these pants are going to help me fulfill it. Imagine: I'm at the lake, the temperature is 50 degrees and I'm in my pants. I notice the smooth water, the methodical movement of the waves so inviting I just can't help but touch them. My well-meaning friends tell me to resist, keep going, ignore the afternoon sun's glare on the waves in the water. "You're in your pants," they tell me, "you're getting wet." This is usually where the story ends. But no more, I say, no more. I carefully open my left leg, then my right. My friends are amazed, stunned. Before they can utter a word of protest or surprise, I'm knee-deep in freezing water. you can't stop me I am one with nature, connected to the water I longed for through contact with the bare skin of my calves. That is God's purpose. Heaven sees and recognizes its shortcomings compared to earth. And without fear of wet clothes, I'm finally free. I stay there for minutes, seconds, maybe years. And as I leave, I find the discarded trouser legs and carefully fasten them again. Though my experience in this paradise is brief, it stays with me forever, and yet I am not haunted by the possibility of cold feet that abounds in ordinary shorts. These pants gave me hope for this moment.
