It scratches a bit (not sure where my scratches came from) but I can clip it to my purse and belt loop to keep it from falling out, a lot comfortable for a woman with women's jeans and handbag. To fit even in small jean pockets, it's thick but not high or wide so it fits fairly easily if you don't mind some volume in your pockets. It doesn't look like the quality is going to seriously degrade anytime soon unless you really value zero scratches.
