I have a variety of lenses for my Nikon cameras. Part of that is Nikkor glass, from the earliest pre-AI lenses to the latest AF-G lenses. I also have a variety of third party glassware from a similar vintage. Only the latest version of Nikon's own rear lens caps seem to work properly with everything. Some of the other options, including the back caps on AF-D era Nikon lenses, are very loose on some or all of my glasses. So it was a bit annoying that only very expensive new caps worked properly. Step into these little beauties. For about the same price as a genuine lens cap, I bought them in a pack of 5 and they work *perfectly* with every lens I own. Sorry Nikon, but I won't buy your stupid overpriced plastic parts anymore. If you put a small premium on it, I'll happily pay. But since that's enough for 1/5 of what you take, I'm happy to buy it every time. Highly recommended.
