I can always tell a really good one from a gold plated one so I won't say it looks like solid gold but it's a nice record. No bright yellow color and no dirty look. I saw a review from someone with a photo of a heart instead of a letter and tried to find it in the options but for some reason I couldn't find it. We'll find out that it actually goes both ways! There's a heart on one side and your chosen letter on the other, which is such a lovely addition! The pendant is very well made, clear details, shiny smooth surface. I don't know much about chains, I'd prefer a paperclip chain or a flat snake chain, but steel chains are affordable here so I'm planning on getting one for hanging. This is a well made necklace and it is adjustable which is great! I recommend this chain!
