Review on Elmers Disappearing Purple Washable E605 by Carla Anderson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A DIY classic

These glue sticks are great. Elmer is a classic for a reason. It sticks well, is easy for kids to use, and is actually washable (trust me. My kids have glue on almost everything. Soap and water will remove it from fabric, wood, tile, linoleum, leather, etc.). Purple disappears completely when dry. They have a long shelf life (although I recently found a ten-year-old sticky crayon that finally dried. We've had them for years. That, of course, was before my kids started using them with an alarming frequency). Larger sticks like these are easy to hold in little hands and offer more coverage. I've definitely found them cheaper in local stores, so be sure to compare prices before you buy, but be aware these are large glue sticks, not small ones.

Pros
  • Washable, non-toxic, acid-free formula ideal for classroom and home use
Cons
  • Very expensive
