I bought six of these for home and office - overall it's a decent budget ring light - of the six only one broke in transit - they should improve that first thing I got I replaced the standard phone holder - it's useless from a design point of view - and replaced it with an Ulanzi iPad tripod adapter or a small phone adapter that actually faces the person - Throw away the regular phone holder.Another thing you should throw away is a tripod - it's not exactly practical for a table or desk - the base takes up a lot of space. I replaced the tripod with a mic stand because it has a heavy base support - less chance of the ring light falling off. If If you decide to use a microphone stand, you will need a 5/8" female to 1/4" male adaptor r – You can also contact a photographer. a lightweight tripod, but I would recommend a mic stand for weighted balance. You will also need a 1/4" hot shoe adapter mount to attach the standard replacement phone holder - it does not use the standard 1/4" thread so purchasing a hot shoe is recommended. At $16 I won't complain about it - it does its job well, but the manufacturer has to replace the standard tripod and flexible neck phone holder to get five stars.
