I recently used this bag on a nearly month long trip around the UK including major cities like Edinburgh and London where pickpocketing is a problem. I've tossed between this bag and the similar PacSafe - basically I prefer how PacSafe uses cords in the shoulder strap - but ultimately chose this one because I prefer the tweed fabrics as well as a few sides. bags. Currently recovering from a leg injury and traveling with a collapsible cane - in some places where a cane was impractical due to crowds or too many people, the folded cane easily fit in one of the pockets. for a short time. Also, the pockets were a good spot for our digital camera - it's a small camera so it fits snugly and deep in your pocket - for quick access without having to open and close your bag. Also, the zippers here are a bit easier than PacSafe's - still hard for a pickpocket to maneuver, but not so hard that I have a hard time using them! I was very happy with this bag. It contains a surprising number of small objects. When traveling between cities I would have my passport in one pocket, my Kindle, smartphone, travel wallet, two folded reusable Envirosax bags and a double cho-pat for my knee in the main and slip pocket. . (For everyday use, the Kindle and passport holder were left in the hotel safe.) The zip pocket held tissues and room keys, while the front pockets held all sorts of little things I needed to have on hand, like an Oyster card. , cough drops and some travel towels. The back pocket was the perfect spot for my glasses and sunglasses (stored in microfiber pouches, not hard cases). I also had the printed tickets folded in three in the inside pocket and it was very easy to put them in and take them out when needed. Although I've noticed that some people have had problems with broken devices, I haven't had this problem. Nothing I carried was too heavy or bulky - I've never attempted to carry our iPad in this one - because I can't carry a heavy bag anyway due to a shoulder injury. I think if you want to carry more things with you, you should probably go for a full shoulder bag or a backpack with more space. This bag is designed to carry your small/thin everyday items. So if you want to stuff a lot of items into a small bag, I don't think I recommend this bag. I fully admit that it doesn't have much room to expand widthwise. But I don't think this bag was designed for that, so I don't necessarily see it as a design flaw - you just need to understand that the design is for small items, not heavier use. (We each traveled with a rack-sized roller bag and the small Catalina Deluxe bag from Lo & Sons β the latter bags take care of hauling electronics, cables, and other miscellaneous "stuffβ when we fly or take the train.) Carrying this bag across the body was quite comfortable and the loop handle was also very comfortable in my hand when I used it occasionally. My worries about the cord not being in a shoulder strap were totally unnecessary - although it doesn't have a cord it is a very strong and thick strap - it would take many, many jabs with a small knife to do so. straps are cut. Also, the strap was so complicated that it would be difficult for someone to discreetly undo it without my noticing. It was also fairly easy to open and wrap around a table leg or over bench bars if I was worried about someone grabbing it if I'm not giving the bag 100% attention at all times. I also appreciated the small flashlight inside. I ended up using it in some small dark places, so it was surprisingly useful. And one or two of our boutique hotels gave us actual room keys, so it was nice to have a strap to attach those keys to. It hangs low in my pocket so I never felt like the keys were at all prone to accidental drops. I am very happy with my purchase and have no regrets buying it over the similar PacSafe. My main goal in a holdall was something that would allow me to carry a few small items with little room for other small items. It was more than up to the task.
