Great counter for the price. Installed in the mobile home.

I have a small RV and need a way to monitor power consumption and battery status. This counter makes it possible. I just installed it but didn't want to drill big holes in the panels so I decided to enclose it in a small box. This method only requires a small hole for the data cable and screw holes if that doesn't work. What you'll need: 1 - Data cables or wires, and in my case I already had a 4-wire cable using 20 gauge wire. I highly recommend using this type of cable rather than running separate wires. It is perfect for this meter. Eightwood Aluminum Box Electronic Amplifier Project PCB Enclosure DIY Enclosure, 4.32" x 2.82" x 1.13" (LWH)3 - Optional: 1 SP switch and 1 DPDT switch and I used several toggle switches that I also have on hand You can choose any brand or type of switch but if you use this case it will fit just right 4 - Soldering iron and of course solder 5 - Fixture for making labels .. Some people are right to complain about 1 meter bars , but filed a notch under the latches and then beveled the edge to fit the latches. This allowed the latches to lock the meter in place. After installing the meter and switches I added labels .For the wiring I followed the instructions that came with it.With the DPDT switch you can use the same meter to monitor the input and output power of the battery. It seems to be working fine for now.

Pros
  • great product
Cons
