Great hat! Got it up for sale and decided to give it a try. It doesn't disappoint. The material is different than anything I've had before, but in a good way. The beanie is a warmer type, so you'll get a little sweaty during those summer months, but it's perfect for the Montana winter. The only problem I could see is the velcro. a bit strange as this is no ordinary velcro. So he might not keep his "stickiness" but if not, I sure could come up with something. Note that the advert on the strap had the text "Battlefield to Back Country" which is not on any of mine. But I really appreciate that it's not. Also, the ad shows a Spartan emblem made out of what appears to be rubber, which I have for thread. It kind of amazed me. So overall, the ad for my purchases was wrong. The colors are slightly different between these two hats but it's camo so I like it. Their fabric is also slightly different. I paid $14.50 for them when they were on sale, they're almost double the price now, but in my opinion they're worth it. Just who knows what product you will get because I have 2 "raids" and they are slightly different. I'm 6'4" and have a "high" head, so I appreciate that the headband almost reaches my ears. If you don't like it, this hat may not be for you. I will probably buying a "Mandrake" for hunting season Thumbs up from this guy.
