Review on Jumbo Wooden 🧩 Puzzle by Melissa & Doug by Jerry Delic

We were very disappointed that it was mainly made out of some kind of MDF or chipboard. This is not solid wood. It is made of paper pulp or thin wood fibers pressed together and held together with glue. It quickly began to crumble in our little one's mouth as she chewed on the puzzle pieces along with the paint above. The pulp and the glue they use may not be good for the baby. I am very surprised that Melissa and Doug used this material to make a jigsaw puzzle for 12 month old babies. Babies chew on everything by 12 months. We have had luck with some of their other products but after this experience we no longer believe their products are of good quality. It wasn't expensive but it was a waste of the money we spent. We threw it away and replaced it with a solid wood puzzle from a local store. It costs more but is made from Baltic birch that won't fall apart like a Melissa and Doug puzzle. We will never buy anything like this again and I recommend you to others. The product description says it's made of wood. It must change to reflect what it is actually made of.
