It's basically just a lightweight piece of thin, stretchy, quick drying material with ear buds to keep it out of your mouth and nose. The ear holes are actually a bit tight for my face and I'm an average 5ft 9in tall male, but the fabric has a lot of stretch so it still fits well. It is suitable for face coverings and I found it very comfortable to wear while cycling, running or hiking. This is one of the coolest (temperature wise) face covers I've found for this type of activity on hot sunny days with the added benefit of UPF. I would NOT recommend wearing it in crowded areas where your primary goal is to prevent the potential spread of COVID-19 as it is likely to provide minimal restriction to expiratory flow which may be sufficient for vigorous activity where normally physical distancing is maintained.
