Soft sole and cute
Use the measurements of the foot as a guide and not the recommended size. I was looking for soft-soled shoes that my daughter could walk in. I don't want their feet to be cramped on hard soles - that's bad for proper foot development. These works! They are cute too! They have a factory smell initially, but I've let them air out for a few days.
