Run really big?
Excellent basic tap shoe. My daughter has slightly smaller feet than others her age (8, size 6). I ordered a size up as recommended but they are definitely too big. Would fit perfectly, maybe smaller. Eventually she will grow into you. Until then, she only wears thick socks.
