I'm tired of having bags flying around the entire vehicle , and also be the only person who could get to them. It seemed like a great solution and it had a bin! The material makes a really hard-wearing impression. I put it on the back passenger seat. I have a van and I can get to it from the driver's seat and the kids have plenty of room in the back. I didn't notice any difficulties when opening the basket. The trellis holders on the side are not as deep as they appear in the picture. I'm guessing it will hold a short mug and a small umbrella but I didn't get that so I'm happy with the other features.
