Review on 🎧 AfterShokz Air AS650CR Open Ear Bone Conduction Headphones - Canyon Red: The Ultimate Wireless Experience by Todd Casey

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Excellent Value - Headphones

I bought these headphones so I don't have to take them off to hear background noise. The layout of the buttons is very intuitive, there is no need to remove them. Pausing and resuming the sound is done with the press of a button. Press and hold the same button for Siri. I wasn't expecting how effective the noise-cancelling would be with the included foam ear tips (which don't worry about losing them as they're identical to the ones you can buy in buckets at hardware stores). Their installation greatly improves the sound quality, makes you less susceptible to external noise, but also eliminates the doubt of whether you hear noise from outside or from the speakers. The AfterShoks Trekz Air headphones are well made and very durable. I can wear them while playing sports, biking, using power tools or doing heavy gardening. I can wear them all day with glasses or sunglasses and they leave no trace of irritation. I've tried setting up other wired and Bluetooth headphones for phone calls and have been disappointed three times already. I get no complaints using Trekz from home for business and personal calls. One thing to keep in mind is that while these are bone conduction headphones, they are not 100% discreet. I can put it next to me and still hear the sound (although it's noticeably muffled). Other products give you cleaner, deeper, richer sound, and you won't hear anything outside of them either. Get huge doses or deafening noise reduction for your audiophile time. But if you're in a world where you need to be a little more aware and engaged, the AfterShokz Trekz Air are really versatile.
