Review on Spicer 5-1310-1X U-Joint 🚗 Kit: High-Performance Solution for Smooth Drives by Prettyboy Capers

Well these gimbals got rid of all the dirt off my 2000 Jeep Wrangler Sahara driveshaft and I get to lube them frequently. They appear to be very well made. But what did you expect from Spicer other than good quality? The only downside to these U-joints is that the installation instructions are very limited. Specifically, ten different clips are provided to you, but it doesn't explain which to use in which situation. I have measured with a micrometer that gold is thinner than gray and these are thinner than green. And the tenth, seemingly "incomplete" mount is a place to install a mirror on the lubricated side of the joint. If these details were included in the instructions, I think I would give five stars for the quality I perceive. Time will tell about the durability of the product. Also, consider purchasing a Spicer (Precision Gear 2-70-18X Gimbal Belt Kit) as proper maintenance requires replacing screws/clamps when replacing the gimbal.
