I have had this case for 4 years now. I've used it on three different bikes: Kawasaki Z650, Honda CBR600RR and Yamaha MT09. It's perfect for all of them. It is in direct sunlight and exposed to inclement weather for at least 6 months a year and is perfectly preserved. It's great for the heat. Admittedly, none of my exhausts got as hot as a Harley, but I ride hard, get home and park, and immediately put on a cap that directly touches my exhaust in a few places, and it didn't melt, got caught. Fire, smolder, or something bad. This is just a great case for a regular full size bike. If you know what bikes I had in mind when I listed mine, if yours are much larger, consider going a size up from the XL I have. The XL has room, but on my MT09 it sat a little higher than I would have liked. On my CBR600 it covers everything because it sits so low. I haven't had any problems with wind and I don't use a harness. He never knocked himself out.
