Review on AKG K361BT Bluetooth Studio Headphones - Over-Ear, Closed-Back, and Foldable by Ada Jankowska ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not everything is so bad, the average purchase in quality.

I spent a lot of time reading and watching customer evaluations before settling on a pair of headphones that fell somewhere in the medium pricing bracket. The consensus among reviewers was that these AKGs lacked sufficient bass, an attribute that I personally value more highly. But, it turns out that this bass doesn't have anywhere to go, therefore everyone is grabbing for the equalization. And the majority of this is not bass, but rather a rumbling in the range of 80-100 Hz. And you've got it right: this is with the wired connection. It is possible to alleviate some of the pressure caused by the bass by slightly adjusting the position of the cups such that there is a space between the ear pads and the head; nevertheless, these adjustments are only "crutches." Especially considering the fact that such a move causes both the middle and the top to disappear. To be fair, it should be mentioned that using an equalizer can help you achieve a detailed balanced sound, including tight bass. This is something that needs to be taken into consideration. The panorama is really dull, however many people with their headphones on ignore this fact. It's possible that this limitation is unique to the headphones that were sent to me, however the only Bluetooth version that allowed for a wireless connection was 5.0. The connection with bt 4 does not allow for X to function properly (connection falls off and nasty clicks, if the connection still holds for some time). The connection remained consistent thanks to the laptop and the bt 5.0 adaptor. There are issues with how the touch control responds to being touched. As a result of problems with backward compatibility, a refund was issued. Please don't adjust the settings on my phone, tablet, or TV just because I'm using headphones.

Pros
  • The perfect amount of room. Strong midrange and soaring highs. Autonomy. The standard of the components used.
Cons
  • Low frequencies (boomy bass). Dull panorama (maybe a matter of taste) (perhaps a matter of taste). Touch-screen interface (poor touch response). charging port for micro-USB devices (no comment). Bluetooth connection: Poor compatibility with earlier versions (versions 4.X and earlier) (clicks and constant loss of connection).
