This piece uses a design I have never seen incorporated into this. The pieces all come together flat and you receive a little baggie that has 8 corner joints and a bunch of these tiny white plastic rivets. All the pieces are cut to the right sizes and it's mostly self explanatory what to do, they do include a little instruction paper that also notes which way to face the locking piece ( Which is important). Putting it together was easy but would be hard for someone with poor eyesight or has issues using their hands. The rivets you can just put in and push hard enough with your hands to get them to pop in. If you put one or two pieces in the wrong way, you are able to push out on the rivet from the inside, move them and reuse the rivets. They also include extra rivets. Once assembled it is generally sturdy but defintiely won't take a beating. The upright piece in the back I could say is susceptible to being broken while transporting like that. It works though. The lock is definitely the strongest part of it.
