Most massagers are too weak or have too large an area (that's why I feel weak). Most of them are difficult to apply to yourself. This device is very strong and targeted, and the unusual design of the handle allows me to comfortably place it on most parts of the body. Although it comes with multiple massage heads, the device itself is so powerful that I only use the two softest heads (so far). You might react differently, but I like a fairly intense massage and I find this thing super powerful, so if you're looking for something gentle and calming I wouldn't recommend this device. If you're looking for something intense, you've found more here than you expected, so start cautiously. I caution everyone against using this on the neck, base of skull, or head in general. You say you can and I do, but very carefully and with only the gentlest head massage and reduced pressure. The neck can be fragile and I'm sure it could shake your brain more than anyone should, so I'm very careful how I carry it on my shoulders. For me, the benefits far outweigh the limitations mentioned above. I can use it anywhere on my feet, legs, buttocks and even most of my back(!). It is easy to apply to all areas of the front of the body and with a little effort you can reach the sides as well. It's easy to use on arms, arms, shoulders and chest. I don't know of any other product that would allow me to massage a larger part of my back myself, and this one allows me to reach a larger part of it. After just two minutes of using this device, I actually feel like my muscles are more relaxed and I can subsequently straighten my spine from normal movement (which is evidence that the muscles have relaxed). The best massager I've used in years. I love it. Now I just have to haggle a bit with my wife in those hard-to-reach places.
