I had an old 3 element Maglite (s/n D3042827865) about 12 years ago and unfortunately someone actually managed to break the German LED bulb I have Bought this replacement bulb and it fitted straight away and the locking ring fits perfectly no filing required. I also bought a newer Maglite ML300L 3 element flashlight so I could compare this lamp side by side with the stock Maglite LED lamp. By directing both focused light sources into the night sky, the rays travel the same distance with the same intensity. I can also focus this lamp as much as a standard Maglite LED lamp. The purchase is absolutely justified if you need a replacement bulb. My old Maglite is like new again!
