We bought these stools for our kitchen island. We wanted low back stools so we could hide them under the counter. We also have small children so they had to be durable and low maintenance (weetabix sticky stuff that's easy to clean :-)). These stools are perfect, don't wobble or worry about tipping over. The lip at the back also seems to be good at keeping the kids quiet (mind you, I'm always there when the little ones dance). I was afraid they would look cheap but they actually look pretty cool. When I first got them I wanted to get the pillows but it's difficult to get the right sizes. We used them without a pillow and they are quite comfortable. slightly better with long trousers than with shorts, although it is comfortable.
