Finally, I removed the absurdity from my giant trash can that was in the other room, set it down, then put the lid on and latched the sides. Ideal! This tray has never leaked, but I didn't want to risk it. The litter box inside is a Nature'Miracle cover. I tried the Clean Jumbo Hooded Litter Box from Cat it Design - it's too big for a litter box. Now that my cats have been using it for about a week I still love it. Both cats use it, no problem. And I love having extra space for my stuff - the top shelf is huge!
