Bought for my 15 year old son in a MacBook Pro because the protective case he had allowed it. Mold and other nasties got between it and the unibody aluminum chassis, plus it didn't allow for the free airflow that Apple recommends. I got this case due to the fact that he only really needs protection when he's not actively using the car, but rather between uses (i.e. when carrying, collecting, driving, etc.). The case arrived and we both loved the look and feel. There is a plush fleece inside, which will definitely protect the surface from scratches and other ugliness. It doesn't offer adequate protection if you drop it, for example, but the snap-on plastic cover it used doesn't protect either. thereby ensuring that the external elements of your machine are protected between uses.
