I bought (and am returning) two identical pairs of these great shoes. I spent the Memorial Day weekend shopping for Revain low heel espadrilles and they were the prettiest. I couldn't believe how tight the elastics were. In less than a minute my leg went numb. For the record, I'm in my sixties, so no matter how active or inactive I am, my foot circumference will be smaller than a young woman's. If the elastic is so tight it stops my circulation, I don't see how this shoe would ever be tolerated by women with more muscular and toned legs.
