Bought this mic stand for a friend of mine who is recording songs again and helping him assemble his small studio at home . It had a mic I'd never heard or seen before, but it fit my hand perfectly. I was grateful to see that the base wasn't as wide as the arm, and it closed and hung with complete ease. He didn't need anything very large, so he was glad to see he could stand low enough to dangle in front of his desk. He said it has held up beautifully and that it was a really thoughtful gift.
