The combination of menthol, camphor and caffeine makes the cream ice cold on my face. I like that feeling, but I suspect some people won't like it. This shaving cream can foam a little but is definitely a thinner, smoother cream. To use less product I strongly recommend you to lather it up first and then apply it with a brush. The smell of this cream is probably its weakest point. This is the type of fragrance that has no recognizable scent notes. During shaving, this cream provides a fairly smooth surface for shaving. I shave with very aggressive DE safety razors and Feather blades. During and after the shave I have not noticed any irritation other than the ones I normally experience. After shaving, I noticed that caffeine tends to tighten the skin a bit. Overall I have no concerns about this cream. It wouldn't be one of my favorite brands but I have absolutely no problem with it and will continue to do so from time to time. Recommended 4 stars.
