Updated Rating: I initially gave this product five stars as I was delighted with its performance but since then I've been able to use the blender a little more since I've had it and when I made the berry smoothie, I used a stir stick to mix everything together. I made a really creamy smoothie and after taking a sip, I got a hard chunk of something in my mouth and spat it out, realizing they were pieces of plastic. After rinsing the blender parts, I saw that the blender stick had a wound that was obviously caused by the blender blade cutting through it, resulting in a large hole that was missing a fair bit of plastic that ended up in my smoothies. Of course I wasn't so happy as I had to pour a really tasty smoothie for fear of swallowing the plastic. Not sure how to resolve this, but just fair warning.
