Portability is a nice feature but seems to come at the expense of warmth

I bought a similar neck and shoulder massager and used it for about a year before it inexplicably stopped working. I thoroughly enjoyed the soothing infrared heat which never got "hot" but it was just enough to relax tight neck and shoulder muscles and honestly I wouldn't even consider using this massager without it. When he died I bought this item to replace but was let down by the heat on this one. In fact, I would go as far as to say that while there is a heat button and the lights will illuminate to indicate the heat option has been activated, there really isn't any noticeable difference in heat compared to using it without the heat on. It might have something to do with this version being rechargeable for wireless use, so maybe it doesn't have enough heat output like my previous version which was wired. Most likely this version replaces one function (heating) with another (wireless operation), but I think if I knew this was happening I would prefer more heat to mobility, but that's just my opinion. The other thing I don't like is that the buttons are too sensitive, so I turn them off with an accidental touch of my hand every time I need to change an element's position a bit. I'm deducting a star for the lack of heat and the annoying buttons that keep turning off. But other than that it seems to be relatively well made so far, so I'm hoping it will last longer than the previous one. If not, I'll probably just buy one with a cable and more heat dissipation next time.
