I highly doubted this would work. Our cat has been bringing home 1-3 ticks a day here in North Carolina for the past two months. Most topical flea/tick repellents don't work on ticks and I was looking for a more holistic option. He hasn't had a single tick since he put it on him. It still has Advantix residue on it, but again it doesn't protect against mites. He has another Advantix application in a week and we will skip it because it has worked so well for the ticks, I'm sure the flea control will be just as good. In addition, we have no odor problems. Smells like citronella and after two weeks the smell is much less. Something like an update now. UPDATE: Almost 4 months old and it still works great.
