Review on BONECO Fill Ultrasonic Humidifier White by Drew Panah

Let me start this review by saying that I have never written a product review before. I felt it was justified in the case of this humidifier so that others don't make the same mistake by purchasing this humidifier. I'm a bit of an "expert" on humidifiers and have researched and owned many of them. And I am diligent in cleaning my humidifiers with distilled water etc. I had high hopes for this humidifier based on some reviews and my research. When I first bought the humidifier, I carefully set it up following the instructions and it worked as expected for about 2-3 uses. Then he just stopped working. I turned it on and the humidifier didn't emit a mist like it did the first few times I used it. Tried several times, cleaned the humidifier etc etc. It just stopped working - plain and simple. Since the unit was under warranty, I contacted Boneco and spent about an hour on the phone with a representative who walked me through all sorts of repairs for the broken humidifier. Nothing worked. Eventually they started the process so I could return the device. I followed their instructions scrupulously: I put the device back in the original packaging, enclosed a printed letter explaining the problem and sent the device back to them. After about 6 weeks with no response I contacted the company via email but they were unable to provide me with a return status report. About 2 weeks later I received my original humidifier in the mail. The unit was packaged exactly as I sent it - turns out no one at Boneco had even opened the box! Suspecting that maybe someone had fixed the unit and just put it back in my box, I tried the humidifier - still broken. I ended up spending $170 on a broken humidifier. I also spent several hours of my time contacting Boneco and shipping the humidifier back to them as instructed. Absolute waste of time and money. I will never buy a product from this company again and if you are still reading this review I strongly encourage you to choose another device for your needs. Oh and the only reason I gave this product 1 star is because Revain won't let me give this review a zero star.
