Inside made of sturdy cardboard. The box is in place and holds its shape well. I find this to be a far more substantial product than some of the smaller tissue cubes. Love the fact that these boxes are big enough to hold linens and towels. Essentially two boxes merged into one. I rolled x4 bath towels and placed laundry/hand towels around the extra space. The box easily accommodates the contents ... And even forgives a little mistake! The love of the handle is found back to back. can easily support the weight of the contents. The handle also helps me to lift the box off the top shelf if needed. I'm a total perk when I'm only 5ft 1"...! The only place I wish it was more. was in the lid. Instead of hard sides, it's a flap that closes the box. definitely not as solid as the rest of the build.The flap (like a bed skirt!) does cover the outside edges but lacks substance...It could easily shift.Something I don't want when storing bedding for long periods.**Mine Solution is to just stack one depth and leave the lid in place I would guess two access points with a hinge in the middle The top can be opened from either side or removed entirely For the price of $30 ...
