Superb Low Tech Manual Child Lock

With all the technological security systems these days, most would prefer some sort of alarm to alert you of an open door or window, but they are very effective at protecting children. No, they probably won't be strong enough to stop an intruder, but they're great at deterring toddlers from opening windows and sliding doors. We have recently built a garden pool and although our 5 year old can swim we don't want him to have free access to the garden and pool for obvious reasons. We're also having a baby soon, so now we're getting used to using it if there's anything. These locks are easy to install and well made. The spring works smoothly and without failure. The plastic used to make the parts is tough, not cheap flimsy plastic. I also appreciate that it comes with assembly instructions to ensure perfect placement. 3M glue is trustworthy and sufficient. I also like the look of this lock as it has a nice neutral look and the colors go well with most interiors. The mechanism is easy to use and the learning process is reduced to a minimum. An adult and older child would have no problem pinching the sides of the lock to unbolt it, while younger children with less dexterity would hold back. Placing the lock above the child's reach is another way these locks help keep the little ones away.

Pros
  • EASY TO USE: The child proof door lock is very easy to use, just press two buttons to close the windows. When windows need to open normally, just click to close this lock.
Cons
  • You could have chosen a newer model
