Review on Rothco Military Belts Chrome Khaki by Mark Adams

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Slightly disappointed

I am 70 year old male. As we get older, we tend to be more picky about what's comfortable and/or convenient. A few years ago I gave up shoes with laces - it became more difficult to reach and tie the laces. Now I decide on slippers or loafers. As for belts, I had a military style web belt for a couple of years. I bought it because it was the only gray belt I could find in stores. I have a wide variety of leather belts, all with holes to adjust buckle size. What I liked about my gray fabric belt is that it can be adjusted to the correct or desired tension. My waist (any waist?) changes from day to day and sometimes hour to hour (e.g. after a heavy meal) and naturally changes over the years. I even drilled extra holes in these leather belts to accommodate my changing waist. So I recently decided that regular leather belts are no longer suitable for me. For a wider choice of belt colors, I turned to Amazon and ordered Rothco belts in brown, black, and blue. These straps are about half an inch narrower than my old mesh strap. The thickness of the belt material appears to be thinner and the buckles are also made of thinner metal. I'm willing to ignore these shortcomings as I've noticed the belts on my pants feel lighter. I would rate the straps 5 stars if the straps were a little "heavier".

Pros
  • Comfort and performance go hand in hand with Rothco
Cons
  • Not sure
