Review on Wireless computer headset HyperX Cloud II Wireless, black/red by Micha Dziubiski ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not a bad buy, well worth the money.

I bought them for 8k including Amazon premium and Amazon card + sent an offer to the seller 700 lower and he agreed (in gratitude, keep a detailed review with a photo). For this money, the headphones are really good, considering that Cloud Core was bought at the old rate 4-5 years ago for 6k, and these are a model higher + wireless, BUT for 14k I would DOUBT given the MINUSES. SOME CHARACTERISTICS OF MICROPHONES: - HFE is one of the most important factors in speech intelligibility. The higher the HFE, the brighter, more open and extended the speech quality will be, making it much easier for the listener to understand. Good value: > 8 kHz. Noticeable difference: 1 kHz Cloud Core - 9.6 kHz Cloud Core 2 Wireless - 6.6 kHz - A high gain microphone is important when the input signal (speech) is very quiet. For example, when you whisper or talk on the phone in the library. Good value: > 18 dB. Noticeable difference: 3 dB Cloud Core - 29.86 dB Cloud Core 2 Wireless - 7.22 dB According to these characteristics, it can be seen that the micro in the wireless version is quieter and less clear. If the microphone on Cloud Core is taken as 100%, then Cloud Core 2 Wireless has 75-80%. That is, according to general sensations, the microphone is worse by 20-25% I downloaded the APO equalizer, watched the 20 minute mic setup guide and it got better. But this is not Plag and Play, this is if you don’t deal with a so-so microphone, and if you get worn out, then it’s just normal P. P.S noticed that sometimes the sound disappears for a couple of seconds, it happens once a day + -, according to others, it’s the same, so it’s not a marriage. It's funny that under all the reviews, the representative of XyperX unsubscribes, and on my review there is emptiness in the comments XDD

Pros
  • + a huge plus is a one-piece iron frame that goes from one cup through the headboard to another cup, breaking them in everyday use is on the verge of unreal + it became much more convenient to use headphones without a wire, he kept getting stuck under the keys, did not let them be pressed or snapped them off (I have a skeleton type mechanic) + charging from USB-C, I just use the wire from the phone, which is very convenient, because it is always on the table + keep charging for a really long time (at the level of the declared 30 hours) + headphones sound good + there is a microphone mute button + the volume wheel on the headphones is solid + for convenience, everything is ok on the head, they don’t press, the size changes, etc. (see the minuses about ear pads) + there is a function to turn off the headphones after 10/20/30/never minutes if no sounds are produced
Cons
  • - Software in fact shows only the level of charge. There are no settings other than headphone and micro volume. Virtual 7.1 sound obviously only spoils everything (not a complaint about these headphones, just virtual 7.1 is horror, so immediately switch to stereo mode) - connection to a computer via a USB flash drive, which prevents the use of headphones with a phone. The Realtek drivers also do not see them (as I understand it, because of the USB, not the 3.5 jack), so by and large it is impossible to configure them. (mb only my Realtek firewood does not see them, the motherboard is AX370-gaming 3 rev1.0, please write in the comments how it is) - there are no velor ear pads in the kit, only eco-leather, although the wired version of these headphones is equipped with them (I had to order from alik, because my ears are unbearably hot) - included USB-C cable for 20-30 centimeters - Surprisingly, the microphone is worse than the Cloud Core, considering that my old headphones are 4-5 years old + the Cloud 2 version is considered to be a cooler model. In Cloud Core 2 wirless, the microphone volume is turned up to 100 wherever possible (only in the Hyperx software, you can’t configure it in the firewood, because of the USB connection), but it’s still quieter than the Cloud Cores. When I went to the discord, my friends immediately noticed that the microphone sounds worse than on the old headphones. (in the comments there will be tests of the microphones of my old headphones and new ones)
