We have a Christmas village and every year I hate it set up and hide the cables. This year, I took someone else's advice and decided to use glue dots and battery operated tea lights. I was skeptical when I stumbled across them, but when they arrived I used hot glue and glued one to the back of each of my houses. I have a set of white and a set of colors. Now maybe not traditional but color changing vows are SO FUN. And in some houses I have flickering white lights. Very neat effect. I use the timer option so they turn on and off at the same time every night. I love how the colors change in the houses. You feel "alive". They're not as bright as fairy lights since the light source is smaller, but I still love them.
