Review on πŸš— Andobil Vent Car Phone Mount - Stable Magsafe Design for iPhone 13/12/Pro/Max - Easy and Secure Fit! by Drew Poulin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works almost perfectly. However, the vent mount can be accidental.

I have an iPhone11 with a case that fits three credit cards so it's not big but it stands out. place without moving while driving. That's the good part. The bracket comes with two different air vent holders. One is described as "hook-shaped" and forms a "three-point support". This third point works very well if your vehicle can attach a hook to the bottom vent. On a 2017 Toyota Camry (for example) this is not possible with the center vents and must be mounted on the driver's left side (or right side depending on which side of the road you are on I think). This is a problem on premium cars for the same reasons that the bottom vent panel may be too close to the bottom of the vent to effectively snap into place. There's only one real way to find out, and of course that's to try. Fortunately, to circumvent this problem, they include a second mount that you can easily attach to any vent, but the problem is that you lose that "catch" and then immediately come back where your phone can fall off the vent driving at high speed or when there is a lot of hot or cold air coming out of the air vents. At least that is my expierience. So I'm giving 5 stars for functionality because it fits reliably on at least one of my air vents and I have no doubt it will keep this phone for the rest of its life. If I could give it 3 stars for flexibility I would as I don't feel the vent mount is really worth the rest of the device that seems better designed. The plug-in ventilation part seems to be overdue.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Low repairability
