My 15 month old son still loves to sleep in my king size bed and drinks so much water a night that we change the sheets and blankets almost daily washed because, regardless of that, he changed his nappy several times a night, his nappy always leaked every night, and that with 12-hour nappies, which usually do a good job in terms of leak protection. This resulted in the mattress being cleaned and aired before the new sheets fell off - a big pain when you're tired and decide you need to strip your bed at 9pm and remake your bed while washing. After several disheartening purchases of various protectors, including expensive ones, from Target that completely leaked even with a towel as a barrier between the mattress and protector, DIES has finally held up very well. So far I've only had to strip and wash twice after a couple of weeks when all the sheets and towels got wet and this cover was wet so the mattress was a bit damp. I mean, nothing's fully waterproof unless it's thick plastic, but this one's pretty soft and comfortable, doesn't wrinkle, and you don't even notice it's worn. Washed and dried on medium heat, everything has held up perfectly. Highly recommended for those who still have small children in bed.
