Review on Digital Voltmeter Voltage Monitor Motorcycle Interior Accessories by Ryan Hoover

The first impression is good

Incl. First impressions of these gauges, they seem to be good. They're not metal, just plastic, and definitely have a "plastic" feel, but I don't think that would be a problem. You put them on the dashboard and never touch them again. There's no button to press, just a display to read, so it's unlikely to ever break. The thread depth is sufficient for use in instrument panels up to a thickness of 2.5 cm. Most dashboards are 3/4 or smaller, so installation should be easy. The box contains two measuring devices, both of which are compatible with each other. I tested both at the same time on thejackery and both gave the same reading. Oddly enough, the "main" battery read 13.2V on both gauges, while the "auxiliary" battery read only 13.1V. During testing, both gauges read the same source voltage at the same time and would all read the same numbers must displays, but since the secondary display depends on the primary, it must also work, otherwise it will not work. by itself, then I suspect there must be an internal 0.1V drop in the meter causing this. , showed 13.2 volts while the digital multimeter showed 13.28 volts. Turning off the secondary display at 0.1 volts doesn't bother me too much. I am planning to use this gauge to monitor my two batteries on a pontoon boat. If you want to do this, make sure the two batteries have a common ground (run a wire between the negative terminals of both batteries or ground them both to the frame) as the dash has a common ground for both displays. Even if there is a common ground, the batteries are NOT connected in parallel. Their positive terminals cannot be connected at all. If that's the case, you can't control both of them individually with this meter. Simply connect the positive lead from each battery to the two positive terminals on the back of the meter. The top connector is for the main display and the middle connector is for the secondary display. Below is the contact point. I am happy with this gauge and it works great for my purposes. I will use one on the boat and have a spare in case something happens to the first one.

Pros
  • Digital LED Display: Two voltmeters are built into a blue 3-bit LED digital display, which clearly shows the current accurate working voltage value, helping you better know the voltage status in the car in advance
Cons
  • Some small things
