I have to say I don't think replacing the headphone cable will improve the sound quality. I've just listened to way too many different headphones and settings over the years. When people say they hear a difference, it's almost certainly psychological. I bought these to equalize the standard KZ-ZSX cable to 2.5mm. This cable feels so good. It's very soft and doesn't roll at all. Sometimes it's nice to have something aesthetic when you're physically interacting with the cable. For $20 I wouldn't doubt it as many IEMs support three different connector types and the balanced options they offer. Upgrade if you want a balanced or better-feeling cable, but don't just upgrade if you think you'll get better sound quality, because in most cases, with a few exceptions, it doesn't matter.
