I have used them to wash my dog with many health issues, first with yeasty skin and bacterial growth. I have to wash my dog with a medicated shampoo every other day because he burrows and sweats which leads to yeast and bacterial infections if not treated quickly. These gloves are great for exfoliating the skin and giving a good deep exfoliation, similar to a dog massage. Bathing isn't his favorite pastime, but these gloves help because he likes soft, pimply knots. As for cleaning, I just rinse them out and keep them in the sink because I use them every other day.
