These bulbs are brighter and whiter than I expected but that's not a problem. The problem I had was that my garage faces west and although the two lamps I put them in get direct sunlight during the day, they are shaded in the morning so they are out from mid to late morning switch off. They would probably work better if there was a way to point the sensor outwards, but you're up to chance and despite trying all 4 bulbs in both lights it seemed like the sensor always wanted to point inwards. Reduction in sensitivity. Maybe they include some kind of spacer or something so you can point the sensor outwards - I don't know. I returned them.
